Corey Taylor discusses the ugly rupture with Machine Gun Kelly in a recent discussion on The Alison Hagendorf Show, clearing the air about his sentiments about the present situation and his goal to bury the hatchet. The two musicians’ feud, which began in 2021, appeared to have resolved when Kelly explained and apologized in an interview. With recent words from Corey, we learned for certain that their feud was over, although the Slipknot vocalist’s animosity toward MGK did not vanish altogether. While expressing his regret, he said the following: “Sometimes folks will just butt heads. In some aspects, he and I are extremely similar, which — shock and surprise — big-mouth singers; we are big-mouth singers. That is very kind of you. And, I suppose, occasionally… I know from past blunders that words slip out, and I wish I could grab ’em.
” Taylor affirmed their inability to be friends despite their newly found peace by saying: “That’s what it is. It’s one of those things where he and I will probably never be friends, but I’m confident we can both respect each other for what we do and have done and go on. It’s something like that that should never be repeated. That’s it. You’ve said your piece. And, often, it’s the fans who keep it going, especially in this day and age with social media and everything. It happened, it was a fleeting moment, and I accepted it. I’m sure he did as well. And then there’s that.” The complete interview is available in the video below.
