As the court struggle between Evan Rachel Wood and Marilyn Manson continues, Wood’s ex-husband Jamie Bell has chimed in. According to Fox News, Bell made a plea that cleared Manson of Wood’s concerns about their family’s safety. Evan Rachel Wood and Jamie Bell have been at odds over custody of their son, Jack, however it was reported that Evan gave Jamie primary custody after being threatened by Marilyn Manson. Bell said in a recent statement that Evan had been ‘feeding incorrect information’ to their son. Jamie made the following statement:
“Evan’s initial claim as to why she did not return Jack to California was that she is involved in a high-profile investigation into alleged abuse by Brian (Manson).” I have nothing to do with this probe, but Evan claims she is now concerned about her and Jack’s safety. During our recent mandated visitation at my in-law’s place in Florida, Jack expressed fear for his safety, reminded us constantly of the man who assaulted his mother, and demonstrated emotional outbursts relating to his mother’s case. When I offered exciting things to do in the future, Jack said he couldn’t because Brian was in jail.” He went on to say that any abuse allegations do not include him or Jack:
“I am appalled and terrified that Evan is telling our 7-year-old this information.” Evan earlier made similar charges of abuse against Marilyn Manson, which were widely publicized. Their connection and alleged abuse occurred years ago. I wholeheartedly support Evan and any other victim of abuse. But such violence is not new here, and it does not involve me or our children.” Jamie then conveyed his dissatisfaction, saying: “I know Evan adores our son, but I’m worried about how she’s handling the current situation.” Whatever concerns Evan has about third parties have nothing to do with me or our son’s custody. I shudder to think of the immediate and long-term psychological harm Evan might be causing Jack with this kind of language.”
Following the announcement, a source close to Marilyn Manson informed Fox announcement that she had no communication with Evan Rachel Wood and that there is no evidence that he threatened her family. “In over a decade, Brian Warner has had no contact or communication with Evan Rachel Wood. Brian Warner has never threatened Ms. Wood or her family. Wood has offered no evidence that Warner made any threats against her or her family.” Ashley Morgan Smithline accused Evan Rachel Wood of duping her into believing she was a rape victim back in February. She stated: “I gave in to pressure from Evan Rachel Wood and her associates to make false accusations of rape and assault against Manson.” While I knew Mr. Warner did not do these things to me at initially, I eventually began to wonder whether he did.” On May 10, however, a Los Angeles judge concluded that Wood did not coerce other women into falsely testifying against Marilyn Manson.
