This week’s episode of Queen The Greatest Live features an exciting live rendition of Dragon Attack by Freddie Mercury and the band, which fans can watch below. The latest episode of Queen’s official YouTube documentary series transports viewers back to 1982, when Freddie Mercury and the band performed at Milton Keynes Bowl as part of their Hot Space Tour.

This time, the subject of the live footage is Dragon Attack, a song written by Brian May for Queen’s 1980 album The Game. Another One Bites The Dust’s B-side single is recognized for its funky feel, and in this performance, it abruptly transitions into a reprise of Now I’m Here from 1974’s Sheer Heart Attack. Fans should keep a watch out for the scene right at the start when Brian breaks a guitar string on his Red Special but switches to a spare and continues.

“The long nights the lineup spent at Munich’s downtown discotheque Sugar Shack while recording at Musicland Studios flavored Dragon Attack.” The club is even mentioned in a Dragon Attack song: ‘Take me to the chamber where the black’s all white and the white’s all black/Take me back to the Shack’. “It was done very late one night or early one morning, probably very drunk,” Brian explained. Is This The World We Created will be revisited in next week’s episode of Queen The Greatest Live.
