While Def Leppard continues to tour with Mötley Crüe, Rick Allen recently shared an update on Instagram, stating that he needs a vacation from the constant gigs and exhausting flying. The drummer said in a video posted prior of their show in Hannover: “This is me. As you can see, I’m actually outside. Mötley Crüe is playing in the background. Nikki Sixx is actually saying something, although I may have misheard her last night. We are currently in Hannover. So I’m not certain. This involves a lot of traveling.

So I could be mistaken. I made a mistake, which is uncharacteristic of me. But, undoubtedly, many of you were intrigued. That would be incorrect. There’s a lot of it. Someone is currently standing behind me.” Allen then indicated his need to sleep: “Yeah, I’m looking forward to a few days off.” I absolutely need to get some rest. That is for certain. And I’ll see everyone out there, and I’m sure I’ll see you on the other side. I’ll end by thanking everyone. All of these videos received a lot of positive feedback. And I truly appreciate it. So, thank you very much.”

Following the violent attack in March, the Def Leppard drummer informed fans that he will join the rest of the tour. So he hit the stage with his band on the European tour, which began on May 22 in Sheffield, England. After performing in Hannover on June 3, members of Leppard and Mötley Crüe have finally had a few days free before their June 7 show in Sölvesborg, Sweden.
