De Niro just had his eighth child. Robert De Niro has stated that he is “happy” for Al Pacino after learning that he is expecting his fourth child at the age of 83. It was reported earlier this week that the Godfather star is expecting a child with his 29-year-old girlfriend Noor Alfallah, who is eight months pregnant. Pacino’s agents revealed (via BBC News) that his fourth kid is due within the next month. De Niro, who recently had his seventh kid at the age of 79, responded to Pacino’s baby news during an interview on the Today show.
“Listen, Al Pacino just had a baby, I was told yesterday morning, and he’s a few years older than me,” De Niro replied when asked how it feels to be a father again “at this stage in age.” May God bless him. I’m overjoyed for him. It feels fantastic.”
When asked if he’s a different kind of dad now, he said, “I have a certain awareness.” When you get older, you get more aware of some aspects of life, such as dynamics, everything, and family dynamics; it’s just that you can’t avoid learning certain things, such as how to cope with them, manage them, and so on.” Pacino already has two children with Beverly D’Angelo, 22-year-old twins Anton and Olivia, and one kid with Jan Tarrant, 33-year-old Julie Marie. De Niro has regularly appeared in films with Pacino, including The Godfather Part II, Heat from filmmaker Michael Mann, and Martin Scorsese’s 2019 feature The Irishman.
The actor will work once more with Scorsese on the next film Killers Of The Flower Moon, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival last month. Leonardo DiCaprio, Jesse Plemons, Lily Gladstone, and Brendan Fraser all appear in the film. Killers Of The Flower Moon will be released in theaters in October.
