Tyson Ritter recently featured on the Tuna on Toast With Stryker podcast, where he discussed an incident with Machine Gun Kelly. Ritter revealed that a key story point in the film Johnny & Clyde had Megan Fox’s character mocking him about sticking his finger in her mouth. According to the All-American Rejects singer, the singer’s offer for the film appeared to irritate Machine Gun Kelly. He stated, ” “So I go over [to her trailer], and her man is with her.” I call this Colson guy, who you know as Machine Gun Kelly, Pistol Pete. ‘Hey, Megan,’ I say as I walk over there. I wanted to talk about the moment when, after you die, since you’ve been teasing me about putting my fingers in your mouth, I put my fingers in your mouth. It acts as a sort of resolution for my character, as he exacts his vengeance.”
Ritter clarified that he did not respond to MGK’s outburst, instead allowing him to vent his rage. According to the singer: “He simply went crazy. He went into a trance-like state. ‘What on earth is actually happening?’ I guess was my overall reaction to the encounter. He was holding a blunt the size of a baby’s arm in his mouth. He appeared completely insane.” Johnny & Clyde wasn’t the singer’s sole project, and Machine Gun Kelly’s reaction assisted Ritter with his performance in Prisoner’s Daughter indirectly. At least, that’s how Ritter saw it. He went on to say: “I thought, this is exactly what I’ve been looking for for my Prisoner’s Daughter character.” Because the next day, I had to shoot a scene in Vegas in which this character faces Kate Beckinsale, who portrays his ex-wife, and he goes from calm to enraged. I was having a hard time figuring out how to flip that switch.” The transcribed interview is available on LoudWire. Johnny & Clyde was released on May 5, and it has 2.4/10 stars on IMDb from 362 reviews. The official trailer is embedded below.
